What is a research paper? How do they relate to the creative process, invention, and creativity? What exactly is expected of me? If you've ever asked yourself any of these questions, this book is for you. Research for People Who (Believe) Would Rather Create addresses all the relevant aspects to consider during a research and documentation process, such as: finding the right topic and approach; formulating the research question; defining the methods; choosing one or more appropriate writing styles; and considering the potential roles of visual, virtual, auditory, bodily, and spatial materials.

At the heart of Research for People Who (Think They) Would Rather Create are dozens of examples from the fields of art and design, each illustrating a specific aspect of developing a thesis, essay, article, report, proposal, research paper, or any other term you might use in your own context.
