Small portraits of a broken reality.
Everyday objects that become poetic.
Transforming landscapes into narratives that evoke but don't concretize.
Born and raised in Valencia, Spain, he is one of those photographers that does not make so much noise, he moves quietly, and if you see him working, you probably won't notice him. But that's perhaps the power of his images. His work is based on the everyday routines and the magic of the ordinary, the common and the quotidian.
His inner sensibility is able to find and frame those common and ordinary situations that we've all seen but not gazed at daily. Raúl can make us rethink what we see in our daily lives. An ode to reality with its small wicked details worth gazing at: forms, colors, and textures that melt together in an often surrealist way.
