From the traffic signs and billboards they see on their way to school or nursery to the lamps that light up our homes, children are surrounded every day by examples of creative design. Through twenty projects created by designers from around the world, mini designers will discover what good design can achieve and how to apply those principles to their own creativity.
The wide variety of activities and craft techniques offers options for all tastes and moods. Projects include making a tissue paper lantern, creating a toy race car from recycled materials, and designing a map of an imaginary city inspired by the iconic London Underground map.
Because each project is quick to set up and tidy away, this book is ideal for home, schools, or playgroups; it is also a fantastic opportunity for imaginative children and the adults who support them to share creative moments, fostering their love of art.
