They are made using a dry lacquering technique, which involves dusting dry lacquer powder onto the chopsticks and then layering them with lacquer, creating a fine, irregular surface that reduces the risk of food slipping and makes them easier to handle. They feature a simple design that combines understated elegance.
Wakasa lacquer is said to have originated in the early Edo period in the Obama Domain, near Wakasa Bay, where artisans imitated Chinese lacquer. Through the application of multiple layers of lacquer and meticulous polishing, traditional Wakasa lacquer boasts a beautiful finish that can be considered a work of art. It is characterized by the lacquer's deep luster and an elegant ambiance.

Should you be unsatisfied with your purchase, you can return the product within the first month. Please note that the cost of return shipping falls under your responsibility.
For in-store returns, we provide a refund in the form of a gift voucher. However, for online purchases, we issue a direct refund given that not being able to physically see the product does have its limitations.
In case of a defective product, we will fully reimburse the cost of the product and the shipping expenses once we receive and inspect the item.
