Cats Everywhere: a collection of illustrations filled with fantasy and felines.
Machida Naoko, a rising star in the world of picture books, is acclaimed for her illustrations with bold compositions and meticulous details that evoke unique worlds.
The title of this highly anticipated new collection comes from Machida's personal motto: if you look closely at the illustrations, even those of stories that apparently have little to do with cats, you will discover that she has included one or two here and there. In fact, cats, rendered with an incredibly delicate touch, are the protagonists in many of her most recent works. Each cat is depicted in meticulous detail, from its movements to the texture of its fur, revealing Machida's keen eye and her love for these creatures with whom she shares her everyday life.
"Cats at Every Turn" encompasses Machida's work from her early beginnings to her most recent works, including illustrations and book covers, original artworks, and a new eight-page illustrated story created especially for this volume.
