Aglaia Konrad’s work is driven by her interest in urbanity and architecture in general, and cultural difference in particular. It is a comparative practice that works equally well for every possible experience of the local. Previous experiences, in 1994 and 2010, intrigued her to undertake a rigorous study trip to central Japan in September 2019, primarily in search of Metabolist projects. These historic and iconic architectures also served as a pretext for exploring the nonspecific and non-iconic aspects of her urban environment with equal intensity. In Japan Works, free associations of full-page photographs alternate with contact sheets that follow the chronology of this latter itinerary. These are illuminated by texts written by the architect and Japan scholar Julian Worrall. Design: Roger Willems.

Should you be unsatisfied with your purchase, you can return the product within the first month. Please note that the cost of return shipping falls under your responsibility.
For in-store returns, we provide a refund in the form of a gift voucher. However, for online purchases, we issue a direct refund given that not being able to physically see the product does have its limitations.
In case of a defective product, we will fully reimburse the cost of the product and the shipping expenses once we receive and inspect the item.
