Located in central Thailand, Bangkok has been the country's political, economic, and cultural epicenter since King Rama I designated it the capital in 1782. It is a city in constant transformation that has preserved its royal culture, rooted in Buddhism, while embracing the cultures of Chinese, Vietnamese, and Malaysian immigrants with extraordinary openness. Long recognized as the country's premier tourist destination, Bangkok boasts extensive experience in the hospitality sector—driven by the presence of major international hotel chains—diverse cuisine, and excellent connections to vacation destinations such as Hua Hin and Phuket. Recently, thanks to state support for the design industry as a driver of national growth, communities and commercial spaces managed by young creators with international experience have emerged throughout the city; a phenomenon that points to Bangkok's potential to become a next-generation creative hub.
