When Bellissimo left for Ireland to review it for you, we could barely pronounce the name of the place. After several trips to this wonderful island, we have only scratched the surface.

There is much more than meets the eye. Truly understanding Ireland would take a lifetime of pilgrimages to sacred places, humming naked with strangers, drinking pint after pint, and waving at dubious priests on windswept roads. And even then, you would still only be scratching the surface, missing the ferry back.

But don’t stop at the first train station you find. As Alan once said: IRELAND IS SO MUCH MORE THAN THIS. So much more than just toothless people, handsome drunken clergymen, and bean stews.

We left our prejudices behind. We saw horses run through slums, talked to the naked, drank with the prudes, barely slept one day, and even skipped a nap the next. We did it all, and we did it for you.
We also wrote to my old teacher, who loved me so much and so sweetly, oh my God, how much she loved me! I miss you forever, Miss Morrison. I will always miss you terribly. Damn it, it hurts. But back to Ireland, this is getting serious.
