A magazine about new and unusual design, showcasing fascinating stories about the lives of ordinary and often anonymous design objects. Each biannual issue takes an object and explores the multiple stories it generates. Like the MacGuffins in Hitchcock films, these things are not the main characters, but rather the devices that set the story in motion.

The stitch is a modest gesture with an expansive reach. It connects, mends, undoes, and gives voice to that which resists articulation. From textiles to technology, from scars to seams, from books to buildings, from leather to language: MacGuffin magazine no. 15 explores the margins and mysteries of a stitched world. Celebrating ten years of MacGuffin, this anniversary issue weaves together unexpected stories and practices of creation and meaning.
