A magazine about new and unusual design, showcasing fabulous stories about the lives of ordinary and often anonymous design objects.  Each biannual issue takes an object and explores the multiple stories it generates. Like the MacGuffins in Hitchcock's films, these things are not the main characters, but the devices that set the story in motion.

“The tool of every self-portrait is the mirror,” filmmaker Agnès Varda observed. “If you turn it around, you see the world.” This issue of the magazine does exactly that: it explores a universe of seasonal darkness and manipulated sunlight, facial recognition and the display of outfits, Claude glasses and disco balls, fleeting reflections and idealized selfies, narcissistic echoes and confessional essays. Featuring photographer Shahram Saadat, novelist Peter Delpeut, design educator Ghalia Elsrakbi, fashion researcher Aude Fellay, chemist-turned-curator Fulvio Ferrari, architect Sam Jacob, designer Sabine Marcelis, visual artist Iriée Zamblé, writer Kandace Siobhan Walker, and many more.
