Los bestiarios son manuscritos antiguos que entrelazan relatos de todo tipo de criaturas —reales o imaginarias— con historias de piedras y árboles. En lugar de buscar una descripción naturalista, estos textos presentan el mundo como un espejo de la verdad divina. Ofreciendo lecciones morales a través de las vidas y la naturaleza de seres grandes y pequeños, todos los bestiarios tienen su origen en una obra griega conocida como Fisiólogo. Escrita entre los siglos II y IV d. C. por un autor desconocido, se convirtió en uno de los libros más apreciados y leídos de la Edad Media. En este trabajo, Geene y De Nooy crean un bestiario fotográfico contemporáneo inspirado en esa fuente antigua. Basándose en citas de una traducción reciente y combinando imágenes encontradas con las suyas, insuflan nueva vida a este texto místico. Si bien su enfoque no es cristiano ni didáctico, los comportamientos revelados por las criaturas en el Bestiario ofrecen historias de las que pueden surgir sutilmente reflexiones morales.

Should you be unsatisfied with your purchase, you can return the product within the first month. Please note that the cost of return shipping falls under your responsibility.
For in-store returns, we provide a refund in the form of a gift voucher. However, for online purchases, we issue a direct refund given that not being able to physically see the product does have its limitations.
In case of a defective product, we will fully reimburse the cost of the product and the shipping expenses once we receive and inspect the item.
